Lawyers compete for your case. You keep more.
Post your legal problem once, free. Law firms licensed in your state bid, every bid shows the most that firm will charge you, and you choose one firm or none. Advicey is not a law firm.
Why people post on Advicey
- Compare lawyer fees before you talk to anyone. Every bid shows the most that firm will charge you: a contingency percentage, a fee set by law, a flat fee, an hourly rate or a free consultation. Firms know they are competing, so you can see who offers better terms side by side.
- Lawyers come to you. Describe what happened once. Firms licensed in your state that take your kind of case see a redacted summary and decide whether to bid. No calling firm after firm, no repeating your story.
- Private until you choose. We remove your name and contact details before any lawyer sees your case. Only the one firm you pick gets them. Bid amounts are never shown to you or to other firms.
- Licenses checked in official records. A firm can bid only in states where we checked its law license in that state's official records. Each bid shows the bar number and when it was checked.
- A call within 24 hours of your pick. The firm you pick must contact you within 24 hours. If it doesn't, report it: the firm gets a strike, and you can pick again from the same bids at no cost.
- Always free. Advicey takes nothing from your recovery. You never pay Advicey anything: not to post, not to pick, not out of a settlement. Firms pay Advicey for advertising.
How it works
- Create your account. Sign up with your email and confirm it with a one-time code.
- Post your case. Answer a few questions about what happened. We remove names and contact details before lawyers see it.
- Licensed firms bid. Firms with a checked license in your state send a bid that shows their maximum fee and a short pitch.
- Compare and pick. Within 7 days of the first bid, pick one firm or none. Only the firm you pick gets your contact details.
- Talk to the firm. The firm must contact you within 24 hours. You decide whether to hire them.
A lower fee is money in your pocket
On a $100,000 recovery, a 25% fee instead of 33% leaves $8,000 more for you. Illustration only: each firm sets its own fee, some cases get no bids, and you may recover nothing.

Questions people ask before posting
Is it really free to post?
Yes. Posting costs nothing and you never pay Advicey. Firms pay Advicey for placement. Any fee you pay a lawyer is agreed only between you and that lawyer.
When do I get the bounty?
Only in states where Advicey offers it right now (your case page shows whether yours qualifies). It's paid after you pick a firm and the firm confirms your signed retainer. Advicey pays it from its own funds, usually within 72 hours of review. You have 30 days after picking a firm to sign, and the bounty is the same whichever firm you pick. You never have to hire anyone. Up to 3 per person every 12 months.
Who can see my details?
Lawyers see a redacted summary only: no name, no contact details, no address. The one firm you pick gets your details. Injury details go to that firm only if you agree.
Why are the bids in that order?
Bids are shown in order of the amount each firm paid for placement, highest first. That's advertising, not a recommendation. Advicey never rates or recommends lawyers.
What is a Pool?
A group of people with the same kind of claim against the same party. Firms bid for the whole group and members vote for the firm. Each member keeps their own claim, and the Pool page shows every term before you join.
Do I have to hire the firm I pick?
No. Picking lets the firm contact you. Hiring is your decision. The bounty is paid only if you sign a retainer with that firm.
Why do you confirm my email?
To keep fake posts down and make sure case updates reach you. You confirm it once with a one-time code.
Is Advicey a law firm?
